Whiteford Township is located in southeast Michigan, in Monroe County. The Whiteford Agricultural School District is located in the township.
Doug Donnelly is a lifetime resident of Ottawa Lake and 1988 graduate of Whiteford High School.
He worked at The Monroe Evening News from 1995 until November, 2012, as a reporter, sports writer, sports columnist and city editor.
At home, Doug’s four children attend Whiteford, he is active with the school’s athletic department as chairman of its Hall of Fame Committee and is park manager for the township. He has written several record books on Whiteford’s sports history as well as the history of the Tri-County Conference and one on the history of boys basketball in Monroe County.
